Pueblo City Council President puts hat in for 1st mayoral race in decades

The President of the Pueblo City Council, Steve Nawrocki officially announced on Tuesday night that he will run for mayor.

In the most recent election, Pueblo voted in favor of ballot question 2A which changed the way the city operates, creating a mayor and getting rid of a city manager.

The city hasn’t held a mayoral race since the 50s.

Nawrocki put his hat in the ring during a city council meeting on Tuesday. He has served on the council for two consecutive terms.
