Family whose gifts were stolen by burglars receive Holiday Surprise from Springs Police

Colorado Springs Police Department’s Gold Hills Division made one family’s Christmas a bit more merry after their home was burglarized with several wrapped presents stolen.

Officers say they got the call on Friday that an apartment in the 1600 block of Lenmar Drive was burglarized. The presents were for the family’s three girls all under 10 years old. Police decided to step in and help them out. Christmas Unlimited donated several gifts and the Colorado Springs Fire Department donated a gift card for the parents.

Multiple police officers and firemen showed up to the home unannounced to deliver the presents with a blue suited Santa.
