Texas man builds Star Wars-themed Christmas light display

A Texan with a penchant for Christmas lights turned a downtown San Antonio home into a visual dream for fans of Star Wars.

Matt Johnson owns Living Light Shows and has put up elaborate lighting displays in the past, but this year he decorated someone else’s house. Now there’s a several-minute-long display that features a remix of “The Imperial March.”

When Johnson’s wife saw the downtown house, they knew it would be perfect for passers-by to be able to stop and take a look.

Johnson said he creates the shows because he hears that people are burned out and bored of traditional static lights.

“The millennials want to see the lights do something,” Johnson told ABC News. “Venues need to get rid of their tired old lights and think of how to make these lights more interactive to appeal to the video game generation.”
