Sunny day with fire danger for Eastern Plains – 12/11/17

TODAY: It will be a gorgeous day for Southern Colorado! Look for highs in the 50s and 60s with lots of sunshine. Winds will gust between 30 – 40 mph for the far Eastern Plains. Dry conditions and the gusty weather mean Red Flag Warnings are in place along the Colorado and Kansas border. Please avoid outdoor burning and report any smoke!

TONIGHT: Skies will be mostly clear and our overnight lows will cool into the 20s.

EXTENDED: The long range forecast brings more sunshine and highs in the 50s and 60s. The only change you’ll notice this week is cooler afternoon highs on Thursday. This is due to a passing cold front Wednesday into Thursday. Right now this front does not look to bring us anything in the way of active weather.
