Cold Night, Chilly Thursday – 12/6/17
TONIGHT: Overnight tonight will be bitter cold. Lows drop into the single digits. A breeze through the overnight will keep wind chills in the single digits. Chills below zero are likely at times, especially in the higher elevations.
THURSDAY: The wind chill is the main story and the biggest impact on any outdoor plans. Morning temperatures in the teens will feel like single digits both above and below zero. The afternoon promises at least a slight warm-up… though only into the 30s across the Front Range and 20s for the mountain cities. Wind chills will rise into the teens and low 20s during the warmest part of the afternoon as wind gusts reach 25-30mph at times. More light snow is possible after 12PM tomorrow. An isolated inch or less is possible around the Palmer Divide with an 1″-2″ around the highest peaks of the Sangres.
EXTENDED: Everyone is under a level 1 wind alert on Friday, but this could be bumped up to a level 2. We will be dry this weekend with warmer highs in the 50s and 60s.
