A backhoe is stolen and then used to break into an ATM

A backhoe is stolen from a construction site and then used to ram into an ATM at a US Bank off of Garden of the Gods Road.

Nothing was stolen, as the backhoe was unable to actually break through the ATM.

There have been several incidents of items being stolen from construction sites over the past few months.

We spoke with Pikes Peak Construction who says they have had multiple ladders stolen from them over the past several years.

“I’ve gotta work a week to make up that day that I lost going and picking up a ladder and buying it,” said manager Gary Seabolt.
