Pikes Peak Cog Railway to shut down for the winter

Pikes Peak Cog Railway has announced it is closing for the winter season.

In a post on its Facebook page, the railway says the last train will run on Sunday, Oct. 29. The company says it’s returning to its historic roots and will shut down for the winter season to perform routine maintenance.

The railway says if you have a reservation after Oct. 29, a full refund will be provided. They also apologize for any inconvenience.

The Cog Railway will reopen in 2018.
