CEO of St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center resigns

The Chief Executive Officer of St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center is resigning from his position.

According to Centura Health, Brian Moore is leaving his role effective Friday, November 10.

Moore became the CEO of St. Mary-Corwin in 2013.

It’s unclear what Moore will do next, but a press release sent to the KRDO newsroom reads in part: “Moore plans to explore opportunities that allow him to translate more than 18 years of acute care knowledge and skills into a role that focuses on his passion for health care innovation.”

Centura Health, along with its community board, plan to develop an interim strategy until the search process begins for a new CEO. Meanwhile, Mike Cafasso has been appointed Interim Administrator for St. Mary-Corwin Medical Center, effective October 23.
