Death investigation underway in northeast Colorado Springs

An investigation is underway for a suspicious death in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

It’s happening in the 5600-block of St Marys Point, which is near North Academy and Vickers Drive.

Around 10 p.m., authorities received a 911 call about a disturbance, Colorado Springs police said. When officers arrived on the scene, they found a body with a self-inflicted gun shot wound.

Investigators are working to determine exactly what happened.

There is no word yet on the person’s identity.
