Afghan girls win silver medal at robotics competition and meet the president’s daughter

Six girls from Afghanistan, who were denied visas to the U.S. twice, won a silver medal at a robotics competition in Washington DC this week.

According to ABC News, President Trump personally intervened at the last minute, to make sure the girls could get to America.

They participated in the FIRST Global Challenge, which brings in young men and women from around the world to show off their skills and compete in the world of robotics.

The team of young woman from Afghanistan also met with Ivanka Trump.
