One dead in Pueblo Co. rollover crash

One woman is dead after a rollover crash in Pueblo County on Sunday afternoon.

A 2009 Pontiac Vibe, driven by a 31-year-old from Thornton, lost control and rolled two times along Colorado Road 96. The vehicle landed near mile post 82, just 5 miles east of Boone.

The woman was thrown 82 feet from her vehicle and later died from her injuries.

The driver’s name has not been released, pending the notification of next of kin.

Officials do not suspect that alcohol and drug use was involved in the crash, but they believe the driver may have fallen asleep.
