Suspicious death at home near Falcon

El Paso County detectives are investigating a suspicious death at a home near Falcon.

The victim was discovered around 4:00pm in the 8900 block of Fort Smith Road.

El Paso County deputies were contacted by the Falcon Fire Department, who responded to an unspecified call at the home.

Deputies later brought out the metro crime lab to assist in documenting the scene.

However, the sheriff’s office is not releasing many details about the nature of the death.

Spokesperson Jackie Kirby said, “We do not believe it is a suicide. Again we do believe it is suspicious in nature. And again the investigation is still very very early on, we have a lot of work to do, and so as we get more we will release more.”

Kirby expected deputies to remain at the scene throughout much of the night.
