Wanted fugitive captured in Fremont County
The Fremont County Sheriff’s Office captured a man wanted for Kidnapping and 1 st Degree Assault in Canon City on Tuesday night.
Lonnie Ray Cooper, 43, was taken into custody during a traffic stop in the 400 block of Royal Gorge Boulevard at around 5:46 p.m.
At the time, he was considered armed and dangerous.
Coopers’ bond is set at $1 million.
