Live-fire training at Fort Carson

Soldiers with the 3rd Armored Brigade Combat team, 4th Infantry Division are participating in live-fire training on the Mountain Post.

Training includes conducting a simulated tank battle and fighting vehicles performing synchronized maneuvers. It gives an inside look at what soldiers go through fighting the enemy.

The exercise also features live ammunition and support teams participating in “Iron Strike” exercise. “Iron Strike” serves as a home-station validation exercise before the combat team conducts rotation this August in Fort Irwin, California.

All exercises will happen until Friday.
