Aurora theater shooting; 4 years later
Four years ago today, James Holmes walked into the Cinemark 16 movie theater and opened fire; killing 12 people and injuring 70 others during the midnight premiere of “The Dark Knight Rises.”
Holmes was found guilty on 24 counts of first-degree murder last year and will serve life in prison.
Recently, the families of victims tried to sue Cinemark; arguing the movie chain should of done more to protect the people in the theater.
A judge ruled in favor of the movie chain in the lawsuit, and Cinemark is now asking for around $700,000 from the people who sued them cover legal fees.
