2 bodies found in Colorado River

Authorities say they found the bodies of two men in the Colorado River in western Colorado.

The Daily Sentinel reports that neither man had been identified as of Sunday night. Investigators are looking into whether the men had any connection.

The bodies were discovered Sunday morning. One was near the Blue Heron boat ramp and the other was found near the Persigo Wastewater Treatment Plant.

Mesa County Deputy Amanda Erkman says the deaths will be investigated as homicides until the Mesa County Coroner’s Office can determine the manner and cause of death.
