Parkview helping kids with body image

Parkview Medical Center’s Spirit of Women program is hoping to help kids and their parents with the issue of body image.

In a press release, Parkview representatives stated more than half of adolescent girls have a negative body image and more than a third of boys think they’re too short or don’t weigh enough.

The medical center is hosting “Love your Selfie,” starting Wednesday night at 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Fire Playce, 113 E. Abriendo Ave.

The event will have a discussion on creating positive body image and crafts for the participants to express their creativity.
