Family members will adopt lone survivor of crash that claimed her parents, sisters

A 4-year-old girl who lost her entire family in a tragic crash last month will be adopted by her aunt and uncle.

Heidi Miller was the only survivor when a train crashed into her family’s vehicle near Trinidad. Her parents and three sisters were killed.

The Pueblo Chieftain reports Miller will be adopted by her mother’s sister, Andrea Wengerd and her husband, Myron Trent Wengerd.

The newspaper reports that whens she is released from the hospital, Miller will finish growing up with her cousins. A family friend told the Chieftain that the family is close, and she is already very familiar with her new home.
