CMHIP patient living in Denver is listed as walkaway

A Denver man who is under the care of the Colorado Mental Health Institute at Pueblo has been listed as a walkaway.

Brett William Reed, 50, is 5-feet-11-inches tall and weighs 175 pounds. He has blue eyes with blonde/gray hair.

CMHIP says Reed was authorized by the Denver District Court to live independently for the past five years. His case managers have not been able to reach him since mid-May and his family hasn’t seen him since May 20, 2016.

The institute says that Reed was committed in 1993 and that his commitment was related to an assault.
