Trinidad hit hard with hail
Trinidad was hit hard by a fast-moving spring storm that caused some damage to homes and businesses in the area.
Purgatory Valley Construction is at a low point in the city and had water running from the street into their storefront causing a little bit of water damage.
Just a few blocks away on State Street, golf ball size hail fell and brought down trees and damaged driveways.
“All this area was pretty much a lake from that intersection to almost the other intersection,” said Robert Schultz with Purgatory Valley Construction.
“I’ve never seen hail that large, not here, not here you know, that was kind of unusual for it to come through town like that,” said Elaine and Stan Colangelo, homeowners in Trinidad.
The people in Trinidad say hail storms are becoming commonplace for them.
