Springs War War II museum to offer free day for veterans

colorado springs, veterans are getting a special treat to commemorate the day. the national world war two aviation museum in colorado springs is offering a free day for world war two veterans. tomorrow the museum is open to the public. where you can get a special look at these world war two era planes… and an educational tour of the facility. the president of the museum tells us they’re looking to expand in the coming months to a 72-thousand square foot hangar, which will allow them to put all of their planes under one building… right now, their plane collection is housed under three separate buildings… and is one of the largest in the united states. 425 it moves, it’s dynamic that we get more air planes all the time because of westpac, there’s other airplanes so it’s always changing, it’s not a static or wax museum it’s more of a living museum 449 this is the first of many events the museum plans to have this summer… to honor our vets. we have more information on the museum.. just head on over to krdo dot com. and click on the hot button.
