Susan G. Komen awards grants to southern Colorado organizations

Susan G. Komen Colorado South handed out more than $100,000 in grants Wednesday evening.

The grants totaled $154,441. The money was raised at events such as the Race for the Cure.

Grants were awarded to the UC Health Memorial Hospital Foundation, the St. Mary-Corwin Health Foundation, the St. Thomas More Health Foundation, the Penrose-St. Francis Health Foundation and Teller County Public Health.

The money will be used to provide women’s services, support and transportation.
