Silver Key asks for donations to feed seniors in our community

Silver Key says its pantry shelves are getting dangerously low.

Each month, Silver Key provides food to more than 1,000 seniors in Southern Colorado.

The organization is asking for canned tomato products, peanut butter and jelly, canned fruits and vegetables, cereals, canned meats, pasta, rice, crackers, low or no salt items, gluten free items and sugar free items to stock its shelves.

Silver Key also needs hygiene item donations. It is asking for toilet paper, paper towels, shampoo and conditioner, deodorant, toothpaste, toothbrushes, lotion, baby powder and tissues.

Donations can be dropped off between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Monday through Friday at 2250 Bott Avenue, near Highway 24 and S. 21st Street, on the west side of Colorado Springs.
