Police: two arrested after stolen items found in Pueblo home

(ARCHIVE - 2016) Pueblo police say that two men are facing burglary and motor vehicle theft charges after a search warrant was executed at an East Side home Thursday morning.

Police were called to the home in the 1200 block of N. La Crosse Avenue to investigate a report of a drug violation at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

There was no answer at the door when officers knocked, but police say the officers could see people inside the home through the windows.

A search warrant was obtained when police say they found a stolen vehicle on the property.

Jewelry, electronics, sports memorabilia and firearms were among the items recovered during the search. Police say they believe the items were stolen.

Police said they have responded to more than 12 calls at the home on La Crosse  in the last two weeks.

Resident Patrice Morris said that home is causing issues for her and neighbors.

"As far as i know, that house is a real problem for the whole neighborhood for months now," she said.

Federico Valles, 23, and Alfonso Ortega, 19, were arrested.
