Fountain Police: Man charged in baby’s death

The Fountain Police Department says a man is facing first-degree murder in connection to the death of his girlfriend’s four-month-old baby girl.

28-year-old Branden Harms was supposed to be babysitting the child on Monday, according to the Fountain Police Department. When the child’s mother came home, she saw the baby needed medical attention and took the baby to the hospital immediately. The four-month-old died the next day from her injuries.

Harms is charged with first-degree murder and child abuse resulting in death.
