Widefield school district administrator accused of sexual assault on a child

Widefield School District 3 confirms that a district employee has been accused of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust.

James McGhee was employed by the district as Assistant Director of Special Services. A district spokesperson says McGhee did not have direct contact with students in that role.

McGhee is in the process of resigning from his position.

Colorado Springs Police say McGhee was arrested on Wednesday.

Court documents released also allege McGhee engaged in sexual intercourse with the victim approximately 15 times.

The victim says McGhee told him he would deny anything ever happened between them if anyone ever confronted him.
