Pueblo structure fire put out

Smoke from a fire on the east side of Pueblo was visible from downtown Thursday morning.

The fire burned in the 600 block of E. 8th Street according to the Pueblo Chieftain.

The newspaper reported that E. 8th was closed between N. Erie Avenue and N. Fountain Avenue.

There are unconfirmed reports that a shed, vehicle and fence burned.

KRDO NewsChannel 13’s Katie Spencer reports that the fire started when a car that was being worked on backfired, igniting some spilled fuel.
