Pueblo municipal judge resigns

A Pueblo judge has called it quits.

City Manager Sam Azad said Monday night that Pueblo Municipal Judge William Martinez resigned Friday.

Azad said he can’t talk about why Martinez resigned because it’s a personnel matter. He did say the former judge was put on paid administrative leave in December.

Our partners at the Pueblo Chieftain report that Martinez was put on leave because of a confrontation with a court employee.
