Missing infant found, search for father continues

The Colorado Springs Police Department says a baby that was reported missing has been found, but his father has not yet been located.

Police said Trevek Vialpando, Sr., 27, has an active misdemeanor warrant for failure to comply. They believed he was accompanied by his three month old son, Trevek Vialpando, Jr.

Early reports indicate that Vialpando, Jr. was found at an apartment in the 1000 block of Rice Drive, in Southgate. It’s unclear who he was with, but police say he is safe.

Investigators said Vialpando, Sr. may be staying at various hotels and apartments in the area of South Nevada Avenue.

Vialpando is described as a white male, 6’03” tall, weighing 190 pounds with blond hair and brown eyes.
