Broncos-Patriots tickets quickly sell out

When fans of the Denver Broncos sat down at noon Monday to order tickets to Sunday’s AFC title game, many of them were already too late.

All 5,000 tickets sold in ten minutes on the Ticketmaster website.

Tickets were limited to four per household and priced between $100 and $625.

Tickets were still available at higher prices on the NFL Ticket Exchange.

Many fans said they didn’t try to order tickets because of cost and limited availability.

A Craigslist ad stated that a season ticket holder is selling two tickets for $500 each.

Colorado Springs police said the city does not have an ordinance like Denver has, prohibiting the resale of tickets above face value.

However, police said anyone caught selling fake tickets will be arrested and charged with fraud.

People should be careful when buying tickets from other sources, police said.
