Car crashes into liquor store; woman arrested

A driver crashed into a liquor store in Colorado Springs Wednesday night.

It happened at a store near Highway 24 and 21st Street in the city’s west side.

Police said they arrested Donna Sawaya. She told officers she accidentally hit the gas pedal instead of the brake, police said.

The driver hit another vehicle in the parking lot, then crashed into the store, police said.

No one was injured. Alcohol was involved, police said.
