$500 million dollar Powerball jackpot numbers released

Check your tickets! Tonight’s winning Powerball numbers are 2-11-47-62-63 and the Powerball 17.

Long lines formed at gas stations around Colorado Springs on Wednesday with people anxious to get their hands on the tickets with a $500 million payout.

At the Shell station on 8th Street, employees reported they ran out of paper twice trying to keep up with the demand for printed tickets.

At the Kum & Go on Fillmore Street, people lined up until the final minutes to get more tickets.

“Oh my goodness, it’s been nonstop craziness. Just Powerball, after Powerball, after Powerball,” said store manager Angelique Harris.

Harris was hoping her ticket contained the lucky numbers and said she planned to split the winnings with her mom.

“I do feel a little hopeful. Normally I don’t even bother playing but I do feel like I would have some chance of winning something,” said Harris.

Mercy Salguero said she’d go crazy if she won, and she already has a plan.

“(I’d) help my family, to buy a new house and travel around the world,” said Salguero.

Daniel Brady said he was feeling confident about his tickets.

“It’s the second Powerball I have ever bought, so it could only turn out good,” said Brady.

If there is a winner, it will likely be announced on Thursday.
