Free Christmas tree recycling begins Monday in Pueblo

People who live in the city and county of Pueblo will be able to drop off their Christmas trees to be recycled for free beginning January 4.

The collection site is located at Vision Recycled Aggregate, 195 Vision lane, near E. 4th Street and N. 21st Lane.

Trees can be dropped off between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. Monday through Saturday through January 16. The site is closed on Sundays.

Before dropping off your tree you should remove all decorations, tree stands, wires or nails. No wreaths or garlands can be accepted due to the final chipping process

Free mulch will be available on a first come, first serve basis beginning at 12 p.m. on January 18.

Cash donations are welcome for both drop-off and mulch pick-up.
