One man dead in stabbing in Colorado Springs

Colorado Springs Police say that one man is dead after an early morning stabbing.

It happened in the 2500 Block of East Saint Vrain Street around 3:00 a.m. today.

Police say a short time later, a man showed up at a local hospital where he later died. They say he had stab wounds.

Officers were contacted to the scene where the stabbing allegedly happened. The Tactical Enforcement Unit responded to assist as the suspect had barricaded themselves inside of the residence.

The suspect did eventually surrender and was arrested by police.

Police say the investigation is still on-going, but there is no safety concern for the community.
