Taking the snow in stride

The snow is almost out of the skies but the tough task of cleaning it up remains.

Side streets in Rockrimmon were still snow covered through much of Tuesday.

The big problem was not necessarily the snow itself. There was about 4 inches of snow in the area – not unusual for a snow storm. It was the wind that blew the newly fallen snow around.

That re-covered some of the roads that had been plowed.

One man found a way around it though. He was using cross country skis.

He thought that the snow was good to exercise in.

And he didn’t think the roads were really all that bad compared with other places he’s lived.

“I think it’s great because in (Chicago) they put so much salt all over the place and it costs so much money and it ruins the roads,” said Greg “Tree” Camp.

We were also looking for people who were out sledding today, but the cold weather seemed to have driven them away.

The cold temperatures do mean one possible problem for drivers Tuesday night, re-freezing of the roads.
