Lanterns light up the night sky for annual festival
Lanterns filled the night sky over southern El Paso County Saturday night for Lantern Fest.
Hundreds of families gathered for the annual event at the Pikes Peak International Raceway.
Organizers say the event is meant to bring people together and illuminate the human spirit.
Eight firetrucks from the Fountain Fire Department along with 30 firefighters were on hand to make sure everything and everyone stayed safe.
Some of the lanterns were collected after the event.
