Organizers need your help for annual Thanksgiving meal

Organizations in Pueblo need your help to fill the need for the city’s big Thanksgiving dinner.

Organizers for this year’s community dinner said they still need 100 turkeys, close to 200 pounds of potatoes and about 100 volunteers.

The organizers expect to feed more than 1,500 people this year.

“It’s a daunting task, obviously, but it’s very rewarding of course. It’s refreshing to see when the community comes together for events like this,” event coordinator Jerry Carter said.

The meal is free for everyone and is scheduled to happen on Nov. 26 at Union Depot.

If you want to help by volunteering or donating items for the meal you can call Posada at 719-545-8776.
