Suspicious vehicle in Downtown Denver

UPDATE – Visitors staying at the Hyatt Regency in Downtown Denver have been allowed to return inside the hotel after police investigated a suspicious vehicle. Officials say the vehicle has been cleared.

PREVIOUS STORY – A suspicious vehicle in Downtown Denver has officers with the Denver Police Department on alert, according to our partners at 7 News in Denver.

DPD tweeted a bomb squad unit was responding to the area of 14th and Welton Street near the Hyatt Regency Denver hotel in downtown Friday night.

Police say the Hyatt Regency has been evacuated.
