Cripple Creek casino looking to change ownership

Las Vegas resort chain Full House Resorts has entered into a definitive agreement with with privately-owned Pioneer Group, Inc. to acquire the operating assets of Bronco Billy’s Casino and Hotel in Cripple Creek for approximately $30 million.

“The shareholders are now just finishing their 24th year, and they were looking at ways to change the ownership structure and move on. That’s the decision they made, and here we are with a new potential owner in Full House Resorts,” explained Bronco Billy’s owner and GM Marc Murphy.

Murphy says customers shouldn’t expect any changes in service, however.

“What we’re seeing is just a change of ownership from Pioneer Group to Full House. Management will stay in place. I’m the general manager and will continue to be the general manager for the foreseeable future. All of my management team will stay in place, and so will my employees. The Bronco Billy brand will stay in place. And for the customers, it will be seamless,” said Murphy.

“They have the best, friendliest people in town,” said Ray Hermes, a customer who’s frequented the casino since it opened initially.

Hermes says he plans to keep coming for years to come.

“I think bringing in a very experienced gaming company, working with an experienced management team is nothing but positive,” Murphy added.

It could take up to six months before the final paperwork for the deal is signed.
