Motorcyclist killed in Fremont County crash

The Colorado State Patrol says one person was killed in a crash on Highway 9 in Fremont County Sunday morning.

Troopers say 44-year-old Rafael Munoz-Diaz, of Ft. Carson, was driving a 2005 Buell XB12S motorcycle northbound on Highway 9 near milepost 5 when he lost control on a curve. The motorcycle eventually overturned and landed on its side.

Munoz-Diaz was thrown from the bike. He was wearing a helmet, but was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers don’t believe drugs or alcohol were factors in the crash.
