See Sea Lions at the El Paso County Fair

This week at the El Paso County Fair, there’s something completely different.

Three sea lions are part of a traveling show that will be at the fair this week.

Two of the sea lions are from California and the third is from South America.

The sea lions amaze the crowd with tricks like balancing, catching rings and jumping out of the water and hitting a ball.

But the purpose of the show isn’t just to entertain.

“It’s all about conservation, recycling…it’s all about (both) education and entertainment. I want them to have a good time and learn about these animals,” said James Earhart, the sea lions’ trainer.

There is no extra charge to see the sea lions, but there are only three show times.
