Man Arrested at Renaissance Festival

One man was arrested after he jumped into a jousting performance and tried to leave with a fallen sword at the Renaissance Festival in Larkspur on Saturday (078/11/15). 22-year-old Conner Ward was arrested for suspicion of theft, attempted assault on an officer and resisting arrest.

Witnesses say a woman dressed as a medieval wench chased Ward and tackled him to the ground until Douglas County Sheriff’s Officers could arrive.

Investigators believe he was drunk at the time of the incident. He’s currently being held on a $5,000 bond.
