Boy hit by van, killed in Monument

A boy was hit by a van and killed Friday in Monument.

State patrol said it happened just before 4:30 p.m. on a private drive in the 800 block of Lancer Court in Monument.

A van was traveling north in the driveway when the driver failed to see a 4-year-old boy walking along the van.

Troopers are investigating what happened. No drug or alcohol were involved and all parties are cooperating, state patrol said.
