UPDATE: 2 arrested in gang-related shooting in Pueblo

Two men face attempted murder charges, one is in the hospital after what police are calling a gang-related shooting in Pueblo.

Just after six p.m. Tuesday, shots were fired near the intersection of Jackson and Abriendo.

Captain Eric Bravo said a fight started between rival gang members when someone pulled a gun. A 21-year-old man was shot in the right foot and left thigh, but his injuries are not life-threatening.

Police arrested two men involved in the shooting.

Duane Manzanares, 24, faces charges of Criminal Attempt at First Degree Murder and Possession of a Weapon by a Previous Offender.

Michael Trujillo, 21, was arrested on suspicion of Criminal Attempt at First Degree Murder.

Police took a third person into custody for questioning. That person has since been released.

This is the eighth gang-related shooting in a matter of weeks.
