Pair accused of robbing man during Craigslist deal
Police say a man who tried to sell an iPhone over the internet ended up getting robbed instead.
Investigators say Cory Bell and Chyanna Pritchard responded to a Craigslist ad and agreed to meet the victim at the intersection of Southmoor Drive and River Drive in Fountain.
It was there that police say Bell pulled out a gun, took the iPhone and ran toward Alegre Circle.
Police say that Bell and Pritchard were identified as suspects in the robbery early in the investigation. They obtained a search warrant for Pritchard’s home in the 7100 block of Alegre Circle.
A Fountain Police K-9 named Prime searched the house. Police say he found Bell and Pritchard hiding in a bedroom closet under a pile of linen.
Investigators say they also found the gun, the victim’s phone and other evidence in the house.
Bell and Pritchard face charges for aggravated robbery, conspiracy to commit aggravated robbery and felony menacing.
Fountain Police say Bell also had three felony arrest warrants.
