UPDATE: Suspect in 2007 rape in custody

Colorado Springs Police say a man who is a suspect in a sexual assault that happened in 2007 is in custody.

The crime happened in November of that year, but an arrest warrant for Gary Hargraves, 44, wasn’t issued until this month.

Police say testing of additional forensic evidence provided new leads that eventually led investigators to Hargraves as their suspect in the crime.

Hargraves faces a sexual assault charge.
