11 injured in tour bus crash

11 people were taken to Denver-area hospitals after a tour bus rear-ended a semi on I-70 Friday morning.

The crash happened at I-70 and E-470. State Patrol says a second bus and a second semi were also involved. State Patrol also says fog was a factor in the crash.

According to our news partners in Denver, KMGH-TV, injuries ranged from minor to serious. The most serious injury was to the driver of the tour bus.

Aurora Police told KMGH that none of the passengers were wearing seatbelts. KMGH also confirmed the band involved is Twin Shadow, who is scheduled for a show Friday night at Denver’s Bluebird Theater.

State Patrol said the semi that was rear-ended was working for FedEx.
