Suspected purse snatcher sought in Colorado Springs

The Colorado Springs Police Department is looking for information about a man who it says stole a woman’s purse and then pushed her to the ground.

The crime happened in the parking lot of the King Soopers shopping center at N. Academy Blvd. and Woodmen Rd. The woman suffered minor injuries.

The robber is described as being 16 to 24 years old, 5-feet-6-inches tall and weighing 125 to 150 pounds with a thin build and a mustache. He was wearing a San Diego Chargers jersey with the number 21 and the name Tomlinson on the back. He was also wearing baggy blue shorts.

The victim told police the robber jumped into the passenger side of a black sedan. Police say the car, a Chrysler Sebring that had been reported stolen, has been recovered. No information about the driver is available.
