Red Flag Warning issued for high fire danger

All of eastern Colorado will be under a Red Flag Warning Tuesday because of dry conditions and gusty winds.

The warning includes Colorado Springs, Pueblo, Walsenburg, Trinidad, La Junta, Lamar, Denver, Fort Collins, Burlington and everywhere in between. It does not include Teller County or Fremont County.

A Red Flag Warning means that strong winds, low relatively humidity and warm temperatures will combine to create the potential for extreme fire behavior.

Unnecessary burning and activities that can create sparks should be avoided on Red Flag Warning days.
