More than 1,500 people in El Paso County without power after major outage

The Mountain View Electric Company is reporting Sunday a major outage affecting about 1,500 customers in the area around Marksheffel Road and Constitution Avenue. This is affecting customers in Colorado Springs, Peyton and other surrounding areas.
Crews are on scene now assessing the problem, and hope to have power restored later today.
